PinchukArtCentre together with the Slava Frolova Foundation will hold an online intensive course for primary and secondary school visual art teachers

From the 3d to the 8th of June, 2024, the PinchukArtCentre and the Slava Frolova Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine will hold the 12th online intensive course for primary and secondary school visual art teachers under the WALLFALL program.
The one-week intensive will be held online and will consist of video lectures and daily Zoom meetings.
During the events of the intensive, participants have the opportunity to meet the authors of the latest educational methods, listen to lectures by leading art teachers, get support from psychologists, and join online discussions with the lecturers of the intensive.
The intensive course will embrace 50 teachers from across Ukraine. The selection will be made based on the questionnaires of the participants.
After successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of professional development.

Participation is free of charge.
The lecturers will share their experience and approaches on how to diversify practical classes, get children interested in art, and develop their critical thinking and self-expression. Teachers will learn about interaction practices and the importance of co-creation, the use of art therapy techniques, the peculiarities of working with children with mental disabilities, and will receive psychological advice on how to deal with anxiety and how to deal with conflict situations in the classroom.
Speakers of the intensive:
● Slava Frolova, founder of the Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine.● Olha Shyshlova, author and presenter of educational programs for children and teenagers with mental disabilities at the PinchukArtCentre.● Ksenia Malykh is a curator, Head of the Research Platform of the PinchukArtCentre, and a lecturer of the course on contemporary art at the "Maibutni" school.● Kateryna Okremova is a cultural expert, museum educator, art therapist, and author of creative educational projects for children and adults. ● Oksana Sadovenko is a teacher at the ART4KIDS children's art studio, a lecturer at the "Cultural Project" educational organization, and the author of the children's art book "You and Malevych". ● Marianna Aktaeva is a mother, a candidate of psychological sciences, a teacher at the Department of Psychology at KUBG, a school psychologist at CISC.● Dasha Podoltseva is a graphic designer and artist. She received a gold medal at the 28th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw for her work “Harvest”. She is a jury member of the 4th Block, an international triennial of eco-posters.● Olena Zahrebina is an artist, teacher, set designer, curator, researcher, founder of the Chernihiv Monumentalism community and Zhyva Shafa, and a member of the DE NE DE initiative. ● Anastasia Leliuk is a multidisciplinary artist and urbanist. She works with different media: painting, sculpture, photography, installation, performance.
The Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine is a philanthropic organisation established in October 2012 by Ukrainian TV host, journalist, and director Slava Frolova. The project was launched with the aim of boosting Ukraine’s contemporary art and support for the new generation of Ukrainian artists. The Foundation cooperates with art centres, museums, galleries, projects, and cultural events in Ukraine and beyond, and organises with its own efforts cultural events involving both young and renowned art figures of Ukraine.
WALLFALL is a program established by the Slava Frolova Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine. It embraces varied projects initiated by both the Foundation itself and in partnerships with other foundations, projects, cultural centres, and institutions. WALLFALL aims to draw attention to the challenges of cultural and creative development of the children in Ukraine. It covers support for parents, educators, and the children themselves.
