PinchukArtCentre together with the Slava Frolova Foundation will hold an online intensive course for primary and secondary school visual art teachers

From the 10th to the 15st of February, 2025, the PinchukArtCentre and the Slava Frolova Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine will hold the 15th online intensive course for primary and secondary school visual art teachers as part of the WALLFALL programme.
The format of the one-week online intensive includes daily video lectures and interactive Zoom meetings with lecturers, as well as creative individual and group assignments. Participants of the intensive will have the opportunity to join discussions with colleagues and invited experts of the course.
The intensive course will embrace 50 teachers from all over Ukraine.

How can art provide support and promote children's self-expression? How can it help us answer complex questions and make sense of the present? Together with the lecturers, we will talk about music, theatre, writing, and participatory projects, and not just talk, but also create a space of inspiration and mutual support. The participants will also have the opportunity to learn from the experience of working with children with mental disabilities and get advice from a psychologist.
Participation in the course is free of charge. After successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of professional development.
Speakers of the intensive:● Slava Frolova, founder of the Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine.● Olha Shyshlova, author and presenter of educational programs for children and teenagers with mental disabilities at the PinchukArtCentre.● Olena Karas is the founder and frontwoman of the Tonka band, a dubbing actress, vocal mentor with her own teaching methodology, and founder of a women's choir.● Kateryna Yegorushkina is a Ukrainian writer, member of PEN Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Art Therapy Association. She is a TEDx speaker. Author of more than 20 books.● Alevtina Kakhidze is an artist, performer, curator, educator, and researcher.● Amanda Sutton is the director of Venture Arts, a studio in Manchester that works with neurodiverse artists. ● Sarah Boulter is a curator and creative producer who leads Venture Arts' international and partnership programmes.● Natalia Lisova is an artist, art historian, land art researcher, and PhD student at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.● Marianna Dzheladze is a practicing psychologist, psychologist at the CISC.● Tamara Turliun is an interdisciplinary artist, co-founder of the self-organised space Depot12_59. ● Olena Zahrebina is an artist, lecturer, curator, researcher, founder of the Chernihiv Monumentalism community and Zhyva Shafa.● Natalia Datsenko is a director, actress of the Artbaggage craft theatre, and art teacher.
The Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine is a philanthropic organisation established in October 2012 by Ukrainian TV host, journalist, and director Slava Frolova. The project was launched with the aim of boosting Ukraine’s contemporary art and support for the new generation of Ukrainian artists. The Foundation cooperates with art centres, museums, galleries, projects, and cultural events in Ukraine and beyond, and organises with its own efforts cultural events involving both young and renowned art figures of Ukraine.
WALLFALL is a program established by the Slava Frolova Foundation for Development and Support of Young Art of Ukraine. It embraces varied projects initiated by both the Foundation itself and in partnerships with other foundations, projects, cultural centres, and institutions. WALLFALL aims to draw attention to the challenges of cultural and creative development of the children in Ukraine. It covers support for parents, educators, and the children themselves.
