The PinchukArtCentre Prize is a nationwide prize in contemporary art to young Ukrainian artists up to 35. It is awarded every two years starting from 2009. This is the first private art prize in Ukraine, aimed at discovering, supporting and fostering a new generation of young Ukrainian artists.
18 artists shortlisted by the Selection Committee become participants of the Prize nominees’ exhibition at the PinchukArtCentre. Winners of the Main Prize, two Special Prizes and Public Choice Prizes, selected from the nominees, receive the following awards:
● Main Prize – UAH 370 000 and limited support for artistic development within the frame of production or residence support. The winner is automatically included in the shortlist of the Future Generation Art Prize, a major international competition for artists up to 35.● Two Special Prizes – UAH 90 000 each and limited support for artistic development within the frame of production or residence support.● Public Choice Prize – UAH 37 000.
The winners of the Main and Special Prizes are decided upon by the International Jury. The winner of the Public Choice Prize is determined by votes of the visitors attending the exhibition of the shortlisted artists.
