Lecture by Diana Klochko "History of Memory about favorite paintings by Roitburd"

We invite you to a lecture by Diana Klochko "History of Memory about Favorite Paintings by Roitburd" as a part of the public program for the exhibition of the Research Platform “Oleksandr Roitburd. Power Theory”.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 13 at 19:00 in the space on the 2nd floor of the PinchukArtCentre.

During Diana Klochko's lecture, participants will learn about:
● allusions to images from the canvases of artists of different eras - from Caravaggio to de Chirico, from Levitsky to Yuri Egorov, which are encrypted in the works of Alexander Roitburd;● transformations of favorite paintings: distortion of the original image through the deconstruction of the plot, forms, and built-in stylistic puzzles;● techniques of activating visual memory that Roitburd used to create ironic, lyrical, pathetic, and tragic pictures.
Diana Klochko is an art critic, exhibition curator, editor, and translator. Member of the Ukrainian section of the International Association of Art Critics AISA (UNESCO), Ukrainian PEN Club.
