The international group exhibition "I Feel You" is dedicated to the ability to empathize and invites you to listen to experiences, memories, and testimonies from different places around the world, including Ukraine.
During the lecture, Taras Lyuty will consider the philosophical aspect of the phenomenon of empathy, in particular, he will reveal the following questions: ● From psychological to philosophical understanding of empathy.● "Compassion" in the philosophy of will.● "Understanding" and "Use" in hermeneutics.● The problem of the Other in the philosophy of dialogue.● Critique of sympathy in Nietzscheanism.
Taras Lyuty is a philosopher, writer, columnist, and musician. Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the NaUKMA. Doctor of Philosophical Sciences. Senior researcher at the Department of Philosophical Anthropology at the Hryhoriy Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy. He is interested in issues of philosophical anthropology and philosophy of culture. Curator and teacher of the "Cultural Project". Lecturer of the "Ukrainian Academy of Leadership". Curator of the program of translations of the classics of intellectual thought "Philosophy" (jointly with the "Mizhvukhamy" foundation and the "Tempora" publishing house).
