Ceramics workshop by the Variable Name / Назва змінна collective

The Variable Name / Назва змінна collective invites you to a series of ceramics workshops held within the installation Proximity of Touch, part of the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025 exhibition.Rooted in practices of active listening and tactile perception, these workshops will offer participants the opportunity to contribute their own ceramic pieces to the ongoing conversation initiated by the artists.
The first session will take place on Monday, 14 April at 18:00, on the 3rd floor of the PinchukArtCentre.We especially welcome those with experiences of displacement, and who are open to dialogue and collective exploration of memory and identity.

Artists Valerie Karpan and Maryna Marynychenko will guide participants through a safe and emotionally supportive space, where sensitivity and attentiveness to personal and shared memories can be gently restored. Each session begins with an introduction to the basics of working with clay, so no prior experience is required.
