On Wednesday, March 5, at 18:30, we invite you to the Artist talk with the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025 nominee Tamara Turliun.
During the meeting, Yevheniia Butsykina will talk to Tamara Turliun about her artistic practice and her artwork Shkurynka [Crust], which is presented at the exhibition.
The event will take place on the 2nd floor near the reception of the PinchukArtCentre.
Participation is free by prior registration: https://forms.gle/CFEU4zRkpFSefLDN9
Tamara Turliun's installation Shkurynka [Crust] is based on her own observation of a family, which reveals the themes of exhaustion in care and intergenerational communication. The objects that levitate in space recreate the safe haven that relatives create for their offspring and demonstrate the price they pay for it.
Tamara Turliun is an multidisciplinary artist, nominated for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025. Co-founder of the self-organized space Depot12_59. She lives and works in Kyiv.
Moderator: Yevheniia Butsykina, cultural critic, associate professor at the Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and Cultural Studies at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, member of the Research Platform of the PinchukArtCentre .
