On Thursday, March 13, at 18:30, we invite you to the Artist talk with the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025 nominee Kateryna Aliinyk.
During the meeting, Oksana Briukhovetska will talk with Kateryna Aliinyk about her artistic practice and the series of paintings Blades of Grass With Blades of Steel presented at the exhibition.
The event will take place on the 5th floor in the hall with the works of Kateryna Aliinyk (entrance through the 4th floor).

In her landscapes from the series Blades of Grass With Blades of Steel Kateryna Aliinyk depicts nature in its most intimate manifestations, revealing the cyclical nature of natural processes and the turbulence of life. The artist explores how fear, tension and constant alertness change our perception of nature and reflects on how war changes our perceptions of love and beauty.
Kateryna Aliinyk is an artist nominated for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025. Her works were presented at the exhibition “From Ukraine: Dare to Dream”, which was included in the official parallel program of the 60th Venice Biennale, at the Matter of Art Biennale in Prague, and at the exhibition ‘Between Farewell and Return’ at Mystetskyi Arsenal. He lives and works in Kyiv.
Moderator: Oksana Briukhovetska is an artist, curator, and researcher. She is the co-editor (with Lesia Kulchynska) of the book The Right to Truth. Conversations about Art and Feminism (2019), author of texts about contemporary art. She worked at the Center for Visual Culture in Kyiv (2009-2019). She was a co-curator of the Ukrainian part of the Secondary Archive project. She holds a master's degree in art from the University of Michigan, USA.
