Artist talk with Andrii Rachynskyi

On Thursday, March 20, at 18:30, we invite you to the Artist talk with the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025 nominee Andrii Rachynskyi.
During the meeting, Daria Shevtsova will talk to Andrii Rachynskyi about his artistic practice and his work Notes. City Kh., which is presented at the exhibition.
The event will take place on the 2nd floor near the reception of the PinchukArtCentre in the format of an online artist's talk.
Participation is free by prior registration: https://forms.gle/cRUR1rY3bQxNyetv7
In the work Notes. City Kh. Andrii Rachynskyi tells about the artist's hometown of Kharkiv, its inhabitants, architecture and local lettering using various media. Images and other components collected by the artist become carriers of information that help to form a diverse and at the same time visual and tactile idea of the city, or provoke a memory. Signs, in particular, can be used to trace the socio-cultural and economic contexts of urban history in a given period of time, and the indelible mark left by war in the city.
Andrii Rachynskyi is an artist and photographer from Kharkiv, a nominee for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025. In 2024, he represented Ukraine at the 60th Venice Biennale in a creative tandem with Daniil Revkovskiy. In 2022, Andrii's page was included in the “Top 5 Most Interesting Accounts in Ukraine” by The New York Times.
Moderator: Daria Shevtsova, curator of the PinchukArtCentre. She curated the exhibition Future Generation Art Prize 2024 (together with Inga Lāce and Oleksandra Pogrebnyak). Since 2022, she has been a member of the Kyiv Biennale team and curated the exhibition Where Are We Now, After All Those Endlessly Repeated Words? She was a curator of the exhibition and public programs of the Closer Art Center (2017-2020) and a member of the Research Platform of the PinchukArtCentre (2016-2020).
